Our Church History Normal Presbyterian Church was established in 1890 with membership of around 250. The original Church structure was to the east of our parking lot where for the past two years, we have had a community garden. In 1942, we purchased the property where the existing buildings are and the Gartrell family deeded the adjoining property. The new sanctuary was completed in the early summer of 1950. As the Sunday School classes and social activities grew it became apparent that more space was needed. In the fall of 1957 the educational building was completed. The people and the ministers of the church give thanks to our God for the marvelous and almost unbelievable Way
in which we were guided to meet our community needs. It can be said
of the good people of Normal Presbyterian Church; “They had a mind
